Clearly, Senator Cruz R-TX, is not letting the IRS scandal pass without taking the opportunity to use it to underscore the difference between conservatism and liberalism. There are 33 U.S. Senate seats up for election in 2014. Of those seats, 13 are currently held by Republicans and 20 are held by Democrats.
Senator Cruz calling for Americans to sign a petition to abolish the IRS demonstrates his strikingly political astuteness. President Obama is scandal ridden and politically paralyzed, but sadly that has not been enough to turn the stubborn Democrats into patriots who look past the man to respect the office.
It is becoming evident that President Obama could nothing that would cause the Democrats to uphold their oath to defend the Constitution. The people will have to do that. You can sign the petition here. Be warned, however, that it will take you to the site for Senate Conservative Fund, which of course, is a political donation pitch; but you can track who the conservative fund is supporting and who they are not.
