Senate Conservatives, Cruz Put GOP Leadership On Notice Ahead Of Saturday Session

The Senate will have a rare Saturday session after negotiations to pass a $1.1 trillion bill to fund the government Friday night progressed. However, lawmakers failed to hatch out a deal after two Republican senators demanded the bill be stripped of money that could be used to implement President Obama’s new immigration policy.

While Senate Republican leadership pledged to fight Obama’s executive action on immigration next year — when they take control of the upper chamber — but after the spectacle in the House of Representatives, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) doesn’t trust them to keep their pledge.

“We will learn soon enough if those statements are genuine and sincere,” Cruz said of presumptive Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH).

Regardless, leadership in both parties contend the bill remains on track for a Monday vote after a nearly-empty House passed a second stopgap measure Friday afternoon, buying the Senate additional time to discuss and vote on a $1.1 trillion government-wide spending bill.

However, it is a potentially unneeded measure, as Senate leaders say they are hopeful the CRomnibus — as it has been dubbed — House budget bill can be resurrected. Speaker Boehner and President Obama corralled enough votes to overcome an outright Democrat rebellion by a slim 219 – 206 vote margin in the House of Representatives Thursday, leading to “Fallout Friday.” Both liberal Democrats and conservatives are outraged that Obama and Boehner twisted members’ arms together to get a less-than-palatable bill through.

“These leaders betrayed their campaign promises as well as their oaths to support and defend the Constitution,” Ken Cuccinelli, President of Senate Conservatives Fund said in an email to PPD. “Now, they must be held accountable.”

Conservatives wanted to force a short-term continuing resolution so that the fight could again be waged with a far larger Republican majority in the House and new majority in the Senate. Now, the current plan would fund the government through September 2015, but immigration services would only be funded through late February.

The Saturday Senate session will also address President Obama’s nominees, which Sen. Ted Cruz and others wanted to hold up until the immigration order was defunded.

  • "betrayed their campaign promises as well as their oaths to support and defend the Constitution"

So if they disagree with you, they are betraying their oaths? Get a life.

  • JUST
A FEW HONEST SENATORS ‘HOLDING THE LINE’?

    KING
Obama’s 1st’s Amnesty is Turning America into a Lawless Open Borders
Society. All his promises of a free and open society went down the drain with his
    oral effluent. Not indifferent to

House Speaker John Boehner leadership who we now gave lip
service to the American people by him and most of his comedians to block his
Royal highnesses Obama’s executive Immigration pardon order, In doing so, overriding
the right of Congress to vote on the illegal alien invasion. Why do you think
the people of the United States
gave the Republicans a winning majority in Congress and the House? Have they so
quickly forgotten why they gained so many seats in the midterm?

BOTH sides have cheated the people; just take a look at the
$1.1 Trillion dollar spending bill. The republicans could have carried a short
term spending bill for three months, cutting off funds for any illegal alien
awards to criminals who snubbed the law, as specified in the federal registry?
What are either these disingenuous wretches thinking in the White House or in
the Congress. A few selected honest politicians honored their oath of
allegiance to the principles and spirit of the Constitution and erupted in
simmering anger against their own parties.

LED by Jeff Sessions R-AL and Ted Cruz R-TX, Mike
Lee R-UT, Steve king R-IA who are opposed to the spending bill that includes
funding for Obama’s unconstitutional attempt to award amnesty to 5 million
illegal aliens, and then Senator Ron Paul not one to walk the party line saying
on a radio broadcast, "I'll vote no to any kind of 1600-page bill that I'm
given at the last minute that we don't have time to read. It's an abomination,
nobody should support a Congress that stuffs all the spending into one bill,
nobody reads it, there are no reforms, no amendments, and it really is probably
why Congress has about a 10% approval rate because this is not doing our
job," But now we now different, that only strong and truly Politicians as
Tea Party leaders stood their ground and refused to vote on this Bill. THE majority of both Parties are open to
corruption from outside wealthy K Street sources.

I, for one will keep on reminding my readers, the
independents, the Tea Party, delusional Republicans and Democrats that will
keep reminding all Americans once the 113 session of Congress convenes of their
promise to block King Obama’s Immigration order. About five or six newspapers
that don’t like me approaching their audience, because I tell the truth have
banned me. If the American people didn’t
have the internet, the corruption in Washington would never be revealed?

WHAT we have is another bloated spending bill, that does
nothing to stop the reign of King Obama of implementing his action to dump millions
of foreign nationals on our welfare system, our health care system social
security and into our streets when so many Americans and legal residents our
out of work. Instead of black Americans demonstrating in the streets about the
police, they should protesting the illegal alien stealing their jobs, their
children and families future, because we are all going to pay more taxes to
financially support those illegal aliens who emerge from the shadows and the
millions who will arrive here through the Southern and Northern border. No
matter who you are; your place of origin, nationality or color we are all will
be paying the extra weight of the foreigners who have been welcomed by Obama.

CURRENTLY we are counting 92 million Americans unemployed
or underemployed. We have a rising treasury deficit over 18.000.000.000.000 and
he still wants to pander to 5 million illegal aliens and neither Political
Party has done anything about the mess at the open border and the falling
morale of the border patrol. Even the border sheriffs came to the Capitol last
week, because their needs for extra manpower and enforcement funds have been
ignored, thanks to this administrations blind faith in the Homeland Security
    agency that have deceived us.

WE have been lied to so many times, lied to by the
Executive Branch and our President and in most cases, by the political parties
and their hierarchy, who have added to this bill 50 Billion dollars in charity
to countries that hate our guts, but they will evidently grab the money and
instead the people getting the funds the money is squirreled away into secret
Swiss bank account. Both the Democrats and the GOP are guilty in public opinion
of favoring the cronies and friends, big chunks of public tax money for their
pet projects, and I am sure their special interests filters some of it back to
the less reputable bank accounts of politicians.

SAME with the outrageous and still growing tax credits for
the children of illegal aliens. It was not long ago 3.7 billion dollars, but
now has raised to 6 billion. Sen. Harry Reid who carries some corrupt baggage
refused to allow the Treasury department Inspectors from looking into the
fraud. Same with earned income credits of unencumbered bogus checks ripping off
the American people. America should rise up and demand a flat or consumer tax
and rid ourselves of an income tax code that is full of loopholes for the
wealthy and corporations--known as corporate welfare.

SEN. Harry Reid of Nevada and the Liberal Democrats, like
you to think that NOTHING COULD BE ACCOMPLISHED DURING THIS ADMINISTRATION:
their right, but the reason being Reid kept all amendments and bills hidden in
his office and intentionally stopped them from reaching the House for a vote.

    GIVE THEM NO PEACE:

ALL people need to keep bombarding Washington
    at contact phone Numbers and
Mailing Addresses of Members of Congress at: http://www.contactingthecongress.org/ or
    http://www.usa.gov/Contact/US-Congress.shtml/
The TEA PARTY members are urged to pick-up the phone. US
Capitol Switchboard (202) 224-3121; (the toll free number is 1-
    866-220-0044) and
join other conservatives who are committed to jam the phone lines on Capitol
Hill (also melt the phone lines in the Senate) with this simple message: Seeing
you funded amnesty, you own it? Now you have sold out to this President, we
will be ready with a sharp razor to remove all corrupt politicians from office
in 2016 who voted for his anti-American agenda.
