Donald Trump accepted the Republican nomination for president at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Trump said “we mist choose to believe in America,” vowing to “be your voice” champion. “I’m with you, the American people,” he said, a response to Hillary Clinton’s slogan “I’m With Her.”
“I humbly and gratefully accept your nomination for the presidency of the United States,” he said. “We will lead our country back to safety, prosperity and peace.”
The New York Republican lived up to his “billionaire working class” persona with a message about wages, trade and other economic issues. He vowed to be a their “voice” and said putting “American first will be our credo.”
Trump gave the single-most message inclusive in at least five Republican conventions. He championed the LBGTQ community, promised inner-city parents to save their children from failing inner cities and to be the champion of the “forgotten,” to including new immigrants negatively impacted by globalism.
“I pledge to never sign a trade agreement that hurts our workers or endangers our nation… Our plan will put America First,” he said. “The American people will come first once again.”
