The Cato Institute’s National Police Misconduct Reporting Project

Most of the time, police protect us, keep us safe, and enforce law and order. However, sometimes they break the law—whether it’s a hungry cop pulling a gun on a McDonald’s customer, trigger-happy officers shooting people’s pets, or Texas police pulling over women to perform roadside cavity searches.

In light of such abuse, Police Misconduct seeks to hold law enforcement accountable for their actions. With cutting daily recaps, biting commentary, and thoughtful policy analysis, Police Misconduct is at the lead when it comes to demanding honest and ethical police work.
