It would appear that Chris Matthews has forgotten what it feels like to get that tingle down his leg. On Hardball, he took President Obama to task for being “reactive” instead of proactive, lacking “forceful leadership” that natural leaders have. Ironically, both Matthews and Washington Post chump Dana Milbank, used President Bush as an example of real leadership. Like it or not, President Bush “got stuff done, hammering away for taxes, for war… whereas Obama sort of flits and flies from topic to topic,” Milbank stated. Bush “relentlessly hammered away,” Milbank continued, while “Obama flips and flies from topic to topic” with no real aim.
Matthews added, “this Mini-Me stuff has got to stop.” Simply reacting to news and bumbling around aimlessly, “is not looking good.” Chris Matthews even went to the trouble to plot a “Presidential Roadmap” that could help Obama to focus on “Regaining the Spark of Leadership.”
In typical liberal fashion, Matthews designed what resembled some sort of presidential workshop, just as political correct corporations use to give an inadequate employee a second chance. Unfortunately, it was filled with terrible ideas. The three bullets read:
Only a white, rich elitist liberal would devise such a stupid, deeply unpopular plan. Only would a stupid elitist liberal even think it was a serious or effective plan. Not only is negotiating spending cuts along with the debt ceiling the historical norm, but the American people trust the GOP on the federal budget and economy far more than President Obama and the Democrats. In fact, half of the country does not even want the debt ceiling to be raised without coupling it with cuts, 38% say it shouldn’t be raised at all.
Second, the Affordable Care Act, which the majority of Americans who aren’t elitist liberals refer to as Obamacare, is still deeply unpopular. In fact, it is only getting more unpopular as more time goes by and people learn just how bad it will be for their lives. Well over a million signatures have now been gathered in the effort to defund Obamacare, which you can do by signing here.
Lastly, President Obama’s first “clear and bold jobs plan” failed miserably, and the vast amount of Americans are in clear disagreement with any other proposal from these leftist loons. A whopping 62% of Americans believe that the government should cut government spending, which would in turn stimulate the private economy, resulting in far more economic growth. That number is down from 65% a month ago, but voters aren’t supportive at all about more government spending. Just 23% think the government should spend more in response to the struggling economy.
Clearly, we can only get so excited about the little bit of sense Matthews and Milbank made, but maybe they will take their elitist heads out of their butts even more in the future. We can hope.
