UPDATE: I will periodically post the latest emails from the effort to defund Obamacare – or, Don’t Fund It – as I receive them. Speaker Boehner has made good on his promise that the House vote would vote on a continuing resolution that will defund Obamacare, but we must remain vigilant, because some GOP House leaders – even Rep. Paul Ryan – has already suggested he is ready to raise the white flag.
The latest email is below, then follows an up-to-date list of Senators who have or have not pledged to join the effort to defund Obamacare. Some, have declined to respond to requests to take a stand, altogether. Finally, at the end you will find a list of Senate candidates with either a “Y” or a “N” next to their names. Some of the names of those who have refused to take the pledge to defund Obamacare, may just surprise you.
Bottom Line: Those who do not believe that the effort to defund Obamacare has real potential to succeed, are simply defeatists who are not versed in American legislative history. It used to be common practice for Congress to defund prior legislation, especially in instances when the law grants the Executive Branch an unacceptable amount of power. We simply have to stand by them. The American people support the effort to defund Obamacare despite the scare tactics over a government shutdown, which you can read about in the column below.

“This is the last opportunity we’re going to have to stop Obamacare before the January 1 deadline so we have to refuse to fund it now.”
— U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT)
“We can de-fund Obamacare if Republican leaders who tell their constituents they’re conservative stand up and act like they’re conservative.”
— U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX)
DO NOT BE FOOLED.
These senators are planning to vote for the continuing resolution (CR) later this month that funds Obamacare’s implementation and enforcement, but they don’t want you to know it.
Here are a few of the deceptive tricks being played by the top Obamacare Republicans in the U.S. Senate:
Urge the Republicans who have not pledged to oppose Obamacare funding in 2014 (question marks) to sign Senator Mike Lee’s letter vowing to oppose it.
“For these reasons, we will not support any continuing resolution or appropriations legislation that funds further implementation or enforcement of Obamacare.”
NOTE: If they say they SUPPORT bills to defund Obamacare, that does not help us because those bills won’t be considered and don’t have to pass. We need them to OPPOSE the CR if it funds Obamacare. The CR must be passed in September and it is our only point of leverage.

Get rid of life-time politicians who have sucked at the public trough throughout their lifetimes...if they were not at the government tit, they couldn't qualify for standing room in a hog-pen! The whole miserable lot of them (535 +9 on the Court) are a den of thieves!
Couldn't have put it better myself. Well said!
