The U.S. Senate on Thursday voted 54 to 45 largely along party lines to confirm William Barr to be the 85th U.S. Attorney General.

Freshman Senators Rick Scott, R-Fla., and Mike Braun, R-Ind., teamed up to introduce legislation to end taxpayer-funded congressional pensions.
