President Donald Trump responded to the migrant assault on the U.S. southern border with Mexico on Sunday, threatening the U.S. “will close the Border permanently if need be.” He also called on the U.S. Congress to fund the wall, funding the Republican majorities promised and failed to deliver.

“Mexico should move the flag waving Migrants, many of whom are stone cold criminals, back to their countries,” President Trump tweeted early Monday morning. “Do it by plane, do it by bus, do it anyway you want, but they are NOT coming into the U.S.A.”

A port of entry on the U.S. southern border with Mexico was closed after hundreds of Central American migrants attempted to storm across illegally. The tension at the U.S.-Mexico border is a test for both President Trump and Mexican President-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The two leaders reached a tentative agreement, dubbed “Remain in Mexico.” But several hundred of the caravan from Honduras attempted to physically push through a blockade of Mexican police at the border between Tijuana and California, and attacked U.S. Customs and Border Patrol personnel.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen tweeted out an update confirming a second attempt to forcefully enter the country illegally. Another group attempted to climb a railway siding ito cross the border over the mountains, shouting “We are not criminals! We are international workers!”

Worth noting, finding a job is not a valid asylum-claim and dangerous criminals — including organized crime members — are embedded alongside women and children. One male migrant claimed to have an outstanding warrant in the U.S. for attempted homicide, while also claiming he is an asylum-seeker in search of a job.

ITV News Correspondent Emma Murphy witnessed the mayhem on Sunday and reported the rowdy crowd was shouting Barack Obama’s campaign slogan (“yes we can”) and waving hand-painted American and Honduran flags.

The migrant groups remain composed mostly of working-age men from Honduras and other Central American countries.

Pueblo Sin Fronteras, leftwing activists claiming to be a human rights refugee resettlement group, organize and fund the mad dashes to the southern border knowing full-well filing an asylum claim is tantamount to fraud.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Tijuana declared a humanitarian crisis in the border city and asked the United Nations (UN) for financial aid to handle the roughly 5,000 camped out inside a sports complex. They’ve clashed with Mexican citizens and police as made their way through their neighbor to the North illegally.

“We will close the Border permanently if need be,” the president added in the tweet. “Congress, fund the WALL!”

The U.S. southern border with Mexico has been closed after hundreds of Central American migrants attempted to storm across illegally. The tension at the U.S.-Mexico border is a test for both President Donald Trump and President-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador, respectively.

UPDATE: Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen tweeted out an update, saying the migrants were dangerous to U.S. Customs and Border Patrol personnel.

“This AM, @CBP was forced to close the #SanYsidro POE to ensure public safety in response to a large # of migrants seeking to illegally enter the US. They attempted to breach legacy fence infrastructure along the border & sought to harm CBP personnel by throwing projectiles @ them.”

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials responded by suspending both northbound and southbound vehicle and pedestrian crossings at the San Ysidro port of entry. Tear gas was being fired from the U.S. side of the border and U.S. military helicopters crossed over the Mexican side of border, which is normally prohibited.

the mayor of Tijuana declared a humanitarian crisis in his border city and asked the United Nations (UN) for financial aid to handle roughly 5,000 Central Americans camped out inside a sports complex. The migrants, predominantly men and those from Honduras, clashed with Mexican citizens and police as they entered their neighbor to the North illegally.

Earlier on Sunday, President Trump threatened to close the entire U.S. southern border with Mexico. Migrants, again led by Pueblo Sin Fronteras, refuse to enter the U.S. at a legal port of entry.

“Migrants at the Southern Border will not be allowed into the United States until their claims are individually approved in court,” the president tweeted. “We only will allow those who come into our Country legally. Other than that our very strong policy is Catch and Detain. No “Releasing” into the U.S…”

“All will stay in Mexico. If for any reason it becomes necessary, we will CLOSE our Southern Border,” the president tweeted in a follow up. “There is no way that the United States will, after decades of abuse, put up with this costly and dangerous situation anymore!”

The Trump Administration limited asylum claims to those who enter the U.S. through legal ports of entries. But the liberal Ninth Circuit District Court of Appeals blocked the measure, a temporary judge-shopped delay likely to be overturned if ever heard by the U.S. Supreme Court.

President Donald Trump threatened on Saturday to close the southern border with Mexico to stop “costly and dangerous: illegal entries.

Thousands of Central American migrants funded and organized by leftwing activists intent to ignore the will of the American people and enter the U.S. illegally between ports of entries.

President Trump and Mexican President-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador have come to a tentative agreement. The plan, dubbed “Remain in Mexico,” was the result of a meeting last week that included Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, and other high ranking US officials with Mexico’s incoming foreign minister Marcelo Ebrard.

“For now, we have agreed to this policy of Remain in Mexico,” Olga Sánchez Cordero — López Obrador’s top domestic policy official as Mexico’s interior minister-elect — told the Washington Post on Saturday, calling it a “short-term solution.”

“The medium- and long-term solution is that people don’t migrate,” Mr. Sánchez Cordero also said. “Mexico has open arms and everything, but imagine, one caravan after another after another, that would also be a problem for us.”

The major changes under the new policy is 1) applicants seeking asylum at ports of entry will receive a credible fear screening and remain in the U.S. until their initial appearance with an immigration judge.

However, if the judge does not rule on the case immediately, the applicant will have to return to Mexico. Prior to the change, which resulted in “Catch and Release,” applicants were released in the U.S. until their hearing. More often than not, they are no-shows at the hearing.

Even if the judge denied the claim, the applicant disappeared and avoid deportation by hiding out in sanctuary cities, where liberal local officials refuse to honor immigration detainers.

Now, with the new policy change, if the judge denies the claim, the applicant would be detained in the U.S. for immediate deportation proceedings.

Nearly 4 in 10 American adults plan to shop at stores for Black Friday sales, and nearly 1 in 4 have already taken advantage of seasonal bargains. Just 38% told Rasmussen Reports they are at least somewhat likely to go shopping the day after Thanksgiving, more commonly referred to as Black Friday.

That includes 20% who are Very Likely.

Most (59%) Americans are still not likely to deal with the biggest shopping day of the year, including 29% who are Not At All Likely. That’s down from last year when 64% said they would not shop in stores on Black Friday, though is still generally in line with prior results since 2013.

The national telephone and online survey of 1,000 American Adults was conducted from November 18-19, 2018 by Rasmussen Reports.

In his 2018 Thanksgiving message, President Donald Trump honored those who have served, sacrificed and dealt with loss over the year.

From the very beginning of our nation, Americans have come together to remember our blessings and give thanks to God,” he said. “This Thanksgiving, we remember more than 200,000 brave Americans who are currently serving overseas.”

“We thank God for every patriot who serves our nation in uniform.”

President Trump also praised law enforcement and highlighted those who were victims of political violence.

“These are brave people. These are great people. These are special people.”

President Donald Trump responded to Chief Justice John Roberts, who released a rare statement defending the most overturned court in the land. The Ninth Circuit, the most liberal court in the nation overturned more than 80% of the time, blocked the administration from cracking down on phony asylum claims.

The White House issued a directive disallowing migrants who refuse to use a prot of entry the ability to file an asylum claim. Chief Justice Roberts praised independent judges, though his court overturns the lower liberal court more often than any other court in the land.

“Justice Roberts can say what he wants, but the 9th Circuit is a complete & total disaster,” President Trump tweeted. “It is out of control, has a horrible reputation, is overturned more than any Circuit in the Country, 79%, & is used to get an almost guaranteed result. Judges must not Legislate Security…”

“…and Safety at the Border, or anywhere else. They know nothing about it and are making our Country unsafe,” the president tweeted in a follow up. “Our great Law Enforcement professionals MUST BE ALLOWED TO DO THEIR JOB! If not there will be only bedlam, chaos, injury and death. We want the Constitution as written!”

Democrats have frequently “judge-shopped” the Ninth Circuit to block the president’s popularly supported agenda on immigration. The court has appeared happy to oblige, including for the president’s travel order, which the Supreme Court ruled was “squarely within the scope of Presidential authority.”

Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., said Tuesday House Republicans will hear testimony on the Justice Department’s investigation into the Clinton Foundation. The Hill reported the GOP intends to have U.S. Attorney John Huber testify on December 5.

Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions appointed Mr. Huber to investigate alleged wrongdoing by the Clinton Foundation, and other corruption issues, including abuse to the government spying programs created by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

Rep. Meadows, Chairman of the Freedom Caucus and House Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on Government Operations, told Hill.TV’s “Rising” that it’s time to “circle back” to Mr. Huber’s investigation.

“Mr. [John] Huber with the Department of Justice and the FBI has been having an investigation — at least part of his task was to look at the Clinton Foundation and what may or may not have happened as it relates to improper activity with that charitable foundation,” he said during an interview on Wednesday. “So, we’ve set a hearing date for December the 5th.”

As People’s Pundit Daily (PPD) previously reported, DOJ launched a new investigation into allegations the Clinton Foundation used “pay to play” politics while Hillary Clinton served as Secretary of the U.S. State Department. Sources confirmed it was being led jointly by the U.S. Attorney’s office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Further, Mr. Sessions appointed Mr. Huber last year to work with DOJ to look into claims of FISA misconduct at the FBI and review several issues surrounding the Clintons.

Clinton Personally Pressured Bangladeshi Leader to Help Scandal-Plagued Foundation Donor

The new investigation came after DOJ confirmed it received multiple referrals for criminal investigations over the past year related to Uranium One and the Clinton Foundation. However, whatever progress if any made by Mr. Huber remains a mystery.

Rep. Meadows said the committee thinks it’s time for Mr. Huber to shed some light on the probe in an update to Congress, and expects him to be one of the witnesses at the hearing. He also revealed that his committee is also trying to secure testimonies from whistleblowers surrounding the Clinton Foundation.

“We’re just now starting to work with a couple of whistleblowers that would indicate that there is a great probability, a significant improper activity that’s happening in and around the Clinton Foundation,” he said.

A new research study finds President Donald Trump “strategically levied” tariffs to make China take the brunt of the “trade war.” On September 24, the Trump Administration introduced import tariffs on various Chinese products valued at more than $250 billion, or around 50% of all imports.

Researchers at EconPol Europe — a cooperating pool of analysts from the European Union (EU) — found firms in China take 20.5% of the total 25% tariff burden. By contrast, U.S. consumer prices on all affected Chinese products represent on average 4.5%.

“In this analysis we show that, contrary to public opinion, the greatest share of the tariff burden falls not on American consumers or firms, but on Chinese exporters,” wrote researcher authors Benedikt Zoller-Rydzek and Gabriel Felbermayr. “The U.S. government has strategically levied import duties on goods with high import elasticities, which transfers a great share of the tariff burden on to Chinese exporters.”

In other words, despite the media hysteria, Chinese firms are paying roughly 75% of the tariff burden and the tariffs decrease Chinese exports of affected goods to the U.S. by around 37%.

“This implies that the bilateral trade deficit between the U.S. and China drops by 17%. The additional tariffs generate revenues of around USD 22.5 billion, which could subsequently be redistributed in the U.S.,” they added. “Although the tariffs introduce a distortion to US consumption decisions, the economic costs are shifted to Chinese exporting firms and the U.S. government is able to extract a net welfare gain of USD 18.4 billion.”

Despite early success in their negotiations — including convincing Chinese President Xi Jinping to open up Chinese markets to U.S. beef, poultry and natural gas — President Trump has felt the U.S. must keep the economic pressure on Beijing. The then-former businessman ran for president promising to renegotiate trade deals with China that result in deep trade deficits and disadvantages to U.S. industry.

“Through its strategic choice of Chinese products, the U.S. government was not only able to minimize the negative effects on U.S. consumers and firms, but also to create substantial net welfare gains in the U.S.,” the researchers wrote, though they added a warning as a caveat.

The Trump Administration targeted import products that had the highest “price elasticity,” or products easily replaced by substitutes. But if the trade conflict escalates, then the U.S. might be forced to target products that aren’t as easily replaced.

“As the trade conflict escalates, however, the U.S. administration may not be able to restrict its selection to products with high import elasticities,” they wrote. “And U.S. welfare might decrease as more of the tariff incidence falls on U.S. consumers.”
