The ADP National Employment Report shows U.S. private sector job creation was much stronger in August than expected, adding 237,000 new jobs. That easily beats the 185,000 consensus forecast and higher-paying sectors picked up steam to confirm government data regarding wages being on the rise.

“In August, the goods-producing sector saw the best performance in months with solid increases in both construction and manufacturing,” said Ahu Yildirmaz, vice president and co-head of the ADP Research Institute. “Additionally, the trade industry pulled ahead to lead job gains across all industries, adding the most jobs it has seen since the end of 2016. This could be an industry to watch as consumer spending and wage growth improves.”

Construction added a solid 18,000 jobs in May after dipping in April by 2,000 and very strong gains in the previous two months. The goods-producing sector overall added 33,000, includes 18,000 in Construction and and 16,000 in Manufacturing. Natural Resources & Mining lost 1,000 in August.

“The job market continues to power forward. Job creation is strong across nearly all industries, company sizes,” Mark Zandi, chief economist of Moody’s Analytics, said. “Mounting labor shortages are set to get much worse. The initial BLS employment estimate is often very weak in August due to measurement problems, and is subsequently revised higher. The ADP number is not impacted by those problems.”

Small business that employ between 1 and 49 employees added a solid 48,000 jobs, while mid-size (50-499) added 74,000. Large businesses with 500 employees ore more added 115,000, boding well for wages.

Laura Ingraham said on Sean Hannity Tuesday that the media attacking First Lady Melania Trump’s shoes “is a sign of how desperate the Left is.”

“It’s a sign of how desperate the Left is,” Ingraham, a conservative talk radio giant and Editor-in-Chief at Lifezette, said. “It’s a sign of how absolutely unhinged they are.”

President Donald Trump traveled to Corpus Christi, Texas on Tuesday to meet with Gov. Greg Abbott and discuss the state’s efforts to rescue the victims of Hurricane Harvey. He received a warm welcome from hundreds of Texans who lined the streets. The media focused on attacking the first lady for wearing high heels.

“I think people are really happy they have leadership that can navigate a once in a lifetime, once in a century weather event,” Ingraham said. “You know Trump is doing a good job in coordinating when the best that they have is Melania’s shoes.”

Editor’s Note: A big but underrated part of a president’s job is to comfort the nation in times of crisis and disaster, to provide them with hope and a sense that someone cares about them during their time of need. President Donald Trump faced his first big test along these lines on Tuesday when he visited the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Corpus Christi, Texas. He did his job and he did it well.

President Donald Trump traveled to Corpus Christi, Texas on Tuesday to meet with Gov. Greg Abbott and discuss the state’s efforts to rescue the victims of Hurricane Harvey. He received a warm welcome from hundreds of Texans who lined the streets.

People shouted chants of “We Love Trump!” “USA!,” “Texas for Trump!” and “Texas Strong!”

He met with Gov. Abbott and FEMA Administrator Brock Long for a storm briefing that took place at the Annaville Fire Department. Outside, following the meeting, President Trump tried to lift spirits as he waved a Texas flag to cheering supporters.

“We are here to take care of you,” President Trump told the crowd while standing between two fire trucks. “We’re going to get you back and operating immediately,”

“It’s historic, it’s epic,” President Trump said outside the firehouse as he waved the flag.. “But I tell you it happened in Texas and Texas can handle anything!”

Several Cabinet members joined the President on the trip, including Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price, acting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Elaine Duke, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson and Small Business Administrator Linda McMahon.

On Monday, HHS ensured thousands of Texans sheltering at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston had medical care on-site through a 250-bed Federal Medical Station after it was requested by the State Department of Health. The Federal Medical Station is scheduled to be operational Wednesday.

“We are committed to supporting state and local agencies in meeting the healthcare needs emerging from this devastating storm,” Secretary Price said. “The Federal Medical Station we are setting up and staffing in Houston will provide vital care to Texans affected by Hurricane Harvey, and we stand ready to devote additional resources as needed.”

HHS also is helping evacuate hospital patients to healthcare facilities outside the impacted area.

Dr. Sebastian Gorka, who served as deputy assistant to President Donald Trump, resigned from the White House Friday evening amid a shakeup that diminished the influence of “America First” economic nationalists and noninterventionists.

Breitbart News on Monday obtained a full copy of his resignation letter, which can be read below.

Dear Mr. President,

It has been my high honor to serve in the White House as one of your Deputy Assistants and Strategists.

In the last thirty years our great nation, and especially our political, media, and educational elites, have strayed so far from the principles of our Republic’s Founding that we faced a grim and godless future.

Your victory last November was truly a “Hail Mary pass” on the way to re-stablishing America upon the eternal values enshrined in our Constitution and Declaration of Independence.

It is, therefore, all the more difficult for me to tender my resignation with this letter.

Your presidency will prove to be one of the most significant events in modern American politics. November the 8th was the result of decades during which the political and media elites felt that they knew better than the people who elect them into office. They do not, and the MAGA platform allowed their voices finally to be heard.

Regrettably, outside of yourself, the individuals who most embodied and represented the policies that will “Make America Great Again,” have been internally countered, systematically removed, or undermined in recent months. This was made patently obvious as I read the text of your speech on Afghanistan this week.

The fact that those who drafted and approved the speech removed any mention of “radical Islam” or “radical Islamic terrorism” proves that a crucial element of your presidential campaign has been lost.

Just as worrying, when discussing our future actions in the region, the speech listed operational objectives without ever defining the strategic victory conditions we are fighting for. This omission should seriously disturb any national security professional, and any American who is unsatisfied with the last 16 years of disastrous policy decisions which have led to thousands of Americans killed and trillions of taxpayer dollars spent in ways that have not brought security or victory.

America is an incredibly resilient nation, the greatest on God’s Earth. If it were not so, we could not have survived through the unbelievably divisive years of the Obama Administration, nor witness your message to roundly defeat a candidate who significantly outspent you and had the Fakenews Industrial Complex 100% on her side.

Nevertheless, given recent events, it is clear to me that forces that do not support the MAGA promise are – for now – ascendant within the White House.

As a result, the best and most effective way I can support you, Mr. President, is from outside the People’s House.

Millions of Americans believe in the vision of Making America Great Again. They will help eventually rebalance this unfortunate temporary reality.

Despite the historically unprecedented and scandalous treatment you have received at the hands of those within the Establishment and mainstream media who perennially see America as the problem and who wish to re-engineer our nation in their own ideological image, I know you will stay the course for the sake of all America’s citizens.

When we first met in your offices in New York, in the Summer of 2015, it was instantly clear that you love the Republic and will never give up once you have committed yourself to victory.

When it comes to our vital National Security interests, your leadership guarantees that radical Islamic terrorism will be obliterated, that the threat of a nuclear Iran will be neutralized, and that the hegemonic ambitions of Communist China will be robustly countered.

I and like-minded compatriots will be working on the outside to support you and your official team as we return America to its rightful and glorious place as the shining “city upon a hill.”

God Bless America.

In Gratitude,

Sebastian Gorka

President Donald Trump said during a rally at the Phoenix Convention Center last Tuesday that he is willing to gamble with the debt ceiling to secure funding for The Wall. Of course, it isn’t really that much of a gamble.

The hysteria that emanates out of Capitol Hill each time the federal government approaches its “debt limit” is not justified by facts and data, as People’s Pundit Daily recently demonstrated. In truth, the U.S. Treasury Department will collect more than 10 times as much revenue as is needed to fulfill the nation’s debt obligations.

Nevertheless, Republican lawmakers claim to represent everyone outside of D.C., New York and Los Angeles–or, the “fly over” country–but they don’t have anymore of a direct line to them than their friends across the aisle.

Exhibit A: In 2013, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Tx., led the fight to defund ObamaCare. His Establishment Republican colleagues responded by literally calling him and other Senate conservatives names. They claimed he was leading the party to an electoral disaster before an otherwise favorable cycle.

But he and a handful of others didn’t budge. The federal government shut down for 16 days and Republicans were blamed for it.

What happened? It was a bloodbath… for the Democratic Party.

In 2014, they ended up with the largest Republican majority in the U.S. House of Representatives since 1928 and won a historic 9-seat blowout in the U.S. Senate. Astonishingly, Republicans are in danger of squandering those electoral gains because they have thus far failed to make good on a 7-year promise to repeal ObamaCare, something GOPe leaders obviously had no intention of doing.

Exhibit B: Even after President Trump smashed through the Blue Wall in the Rust Belt running on an “immigration is economics” platform, Republicans continue to look to the Washington Post for electoral guidance.

The PPD Big Data Poll has found a solid 56-percent majority on average supports the President’s request to fund a border wall. But that hasn’t caught the attention of their allegedly representative government.

The term “tone-deaf” does not adequately describe the disconnect. The only gauge lawmakers have to weigh the impact of supporting or opposing a policy are headlines written by people who don’t live in real America or contradictory polls conducted for media outlets with a political agenda.

eVoiceAmerica, an internet take-action site, wants to ensure D.C. lawmakers have no choice but to care what Americans want. They say it’s time lawmakers rethink how they make these decisions because, once you leave the ballot box in November, your influence is replaced with special interest.

“We no longer have to rely on hollow Washington promises of transparency,” Dee Boyack Jeffries, co-inventor and co-founder of eVoiceAmerica.com said. “eVoice provides that transparency.”

Rather than bombarding congressional offices with calls they largely ignore, Americans can research and vote on issues before their elected representatives do. They can rate the importance of a particular issue and even write a brief opinion.

eVoiceAmerica collects those responses, compiles them and emails the data to lawmakers in a daily report. Users can email any number of personal opinions to one or all of their elected lawmakers’ official inboxes.

While the Old Guard in both parties want to return to the pre-Trump status quo, PPD did find several rank-and-file members actually prefer this method. Reps. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., and Brian Mast, R-Fla., say it’s a great way for Americans to diminish the influence of Big Media and K Street on Capitol Hill. They understand bombarding congressional offices with phone calls just doesn’t have the impact it once did.

If you want lawmakers to hear your voice, visit eVoiceAmerica and tell them whether or not you agree with the President on The Wall, or other issues. eVoiceAmerica is non-partisan, which intends only to reflect the values and positions of the majority of American people.

The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index rose moved higher once again in August and beat economists’ expectations, increasing to 122.9 (1985=100) from 121.1. The Present Situation Index increased significantly from 145.4 to 151.2, while the Expectations Index rose slightly from 103.0 last month to 104.0.

“Consumer confidence increased in August following a moderate improvement in July,” said Lynn Franco, Director of Economic Indicators at The Conference Board. “Consumers’ more buoyant assessment of present-day conditions was the primary driver of the boost in confidence, with the Present Situation Index continuing to hover at a 16-year high (July 2001, 151.3). Consumers’ short-term expectations were relatively flat, though still optimistic, suggesting that they do not anticipate an acceleration in the pace of economic activity in the months ahead.”

Those saying business conditions are currently “good” rose from 32.5% to 34.5%, while those saying business conditions are “bad” fell slightly from 13.5% to 13.1%.

Consumers’ views of the current labor market were also more positive in August than they were in July, while optimism about the short-term outlook was largely flat.

The percentage of consumers stating jobs are “plentiful” increased from 33.2% to a very strong 35.4%. Further, the percentage claiming jobs are “hard to get” fell from 18.7% to 17.3%. The percentage of consumers expecting business conditions to improve over the next six months declined from 22.4% to 19.6%, but those expecting business conditions to worsen also declined from 8.4% to 7.3%.

The proportion expecting more jobs in the months ahead fell slightly from 18.5% to 17.1%, while those anticipating fewer jobs inched down from 13.2% to 13.0%. Regarding their short-term income prospects, the percentage of consumers expecting an improvement increased moderately from 20.0% to 20.9%, while the proportion expecting a decline decreased from 9.5% to 7.8%.

The monthly Consumer Confidence Survey, based on a probability-design random sample, is conducted for The Conference Board by Nielsen, a leading global provider of information and analytics around what consumers buy and watch. The cutoff date for the preliminary results was August 16.

The Conference Board publishes the Consumer Confidence Index®, at 10 a.m. ET on the last Tuesday of every month.

Contrary to mainstream media reports, Antifa attacked journalists and Trump supporters during the protest in Berkeley, not Neo-Nazis and white supremacists. Big Media, including Chuck Todd at NBC News, CNN, Reuters and others, have completely abdicated their role as truth-tellers.

Thankfully, local journalists have done a much better job.

Lizzie Johnson, a reporter at the San Francisco Chronicle, did a great job reporting the reality on the ground on Saturday. While Twitter trend excerpts were incorrectly framing it as a clash between “white supremacists” and “counter-protestors” or even “peace activists,” as Reuters outrageously characterized them last week, she and others on the ground were telling the real story.

In the video above, which Ms. Johnson tweeted out along with commentary, Antifa can be seen chasing away a journalist and attempting to take his camera and phone so that he could not document their unprovoked violence.

“Take his camera, take his phone,” they shouted at a journalist.

In her report, Ms. Johnson and two other colleagues highlighted the profiles of the right-wing protestors. They were not Neo-Nazis.

“What’s more important is to dispel the myth that it’s all KKK here,” said Jordan Davis, 25, a Trump supporter at the protest. “Obviously I am not a Klansman. They’re trying to lump Trump supporters in with a group that is pretty much nonexistent. We are hopeful for an open, obvious dialogue.”

Antifa, otherwise known as so-called anti-fascists, gather outside Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park during a protest in Berkeley, California, on Sunday, August 27th, 2017.

Antifa, otherwise known as so-called anti-fascists, gather outside Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park during a protest in Berkeley, California, on Sunday, August 27th, 2017.

But that hasn’t stopped the media from distorting the truth and, thus, hiding the danger underscored in a recent PPD editorial. Antifa, the American brand of Anti-Fascist Action in Britain and Antifaschistische Aktion in Germany, is not a new group. They and similiar groups have long-served as the “useful idiots” of despotic, leftwing regimes and are designated as a domestic terror group by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in New Jersey.

Yet, a recent featured story on CNN, openly justified the violence routinely committed by Antifa. As Breitbart News underscored, “CNN lays out the narrative that the leftist protesters are driven to violence in an effort to achieve peace.”

“Antifa leaders admit they’re willing to physically attack anyone who employs violence against them or who condones racism — as long as force is used in the name of eradicating hatred,” CNN stated in their outrageous report.

The S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Home Price Index (NSA), covering all 9 U.S. census divisions, reported a 5.8% annual gain in June, up from 5.7% the previous month. The 10-City Composite posted a 4.9% annual increase, down from 5.0% the previous month.

“The trend of increasing home prices is continuing,” says David M. Blitzer, Managing Director and Chairman of the Index Committee at S&P Dow Jones Indices. “Price increases are supported by a tight housing market. Both the number of homes for sale and the number of days a house is on the market have declined for four to five years.”

The 20-City Composite reported a 5.7% year-over-year gain, the same as the previous month. Seattle, Portland, and Dallas reported the highest year-over-year gains among the 20 cities. In June, Seattle led the way with a 13.4% year-over-year price increase, followed by Portland with 8.2%, and Dallas with a 7.7% increase. Nine cities reported greater price increases in the year ending June 2017 versus the year ending May 2017.

While home prices in Chicago and Cleveland have been declining in recent months and New York and Atlanta weakening, western cities along with Miami and Tampa (Fla.) continue to show strength.

The months-supply of existing homes for sale is low, at 4.2 months. Though the report shows a bit of a cooling in June, home prices remain a strength in what is now a low interest-rate, low inflation economy. Lower prices will give a net plus to home sales as it gives first-time buyers a better chance at buying a home.

“In addition, housing starts remain below their pre-financial crisis peak as new home sales have not recovered as fast as existing home sales,” Mr. Blitzer added. “Rising prices are the principal factor driving affordability down.”

The National Index posted an unadjusted month-over-month gain of 0.9% in June, with the 10-City and 20-City Composites both reporting a 0.7% increase in June. Seasonally adjusted, the National Index posted a 0.4% month-over-month increase, while the 10-City Composite remained stagnant with no month-over-month increase. The 20-City Composite recorded a 0.1% month-over-month increase and all 20 cities reported increases in June before seasonal adjustment.

After seasonal adjustment, 14 cities saw prices rise.

“However, other drivers of affordability are more favorable: the national unemployment rate is down, and the number of jobs created continues to grow at a robust pace, rising to close to 200,000 per month,” Mr. Blitzer concluded. “Wages and salaries are increasing, maintaining a growth rate a bit ahead of inflation. Mortgage rates, up slightly since the end of 2016, are under 4%. Given current economic conditions and the tight housing market, an immediate reversal in home price trends appears unlikely.”

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe and U.S. President Donald Trump are weighing in after North Korea on Tuesday launched a missile over Hokkaido, Japan’s northern main island. He condemned North Korea’s latest missile launch, calling it a “serious and grave threat” to the nation.

“We will do our utmost to protect people’s lives,” Prime Minister Abe said in a statement. “This reckless act of launching a missile that flies over our country is an unprecedented, serious and important threat.”

The people of Japan residing in the danger area were warned to take cover in basements after the launch. It was the first test of a midrange ballistic missile (MRBM) designed to carry a nuclear payload, which splashed into the northern Pacific Ocean. But it demonstrated that the rogue communist regime can indeed hit the U.S. territory of Guam, making good on a threat made a few weeks ago before Kim Jong Un backed down.

Meanwhile, the White House said that President Trump spoke with Prime Minister Abe about the “grave” North Korean threat.

“President Trump and Prime Minister Abe committed to increasing pressure on North Korea, and doing their utmost to convince the international community to do the same,” the statement said.

The President issued a separate statement late Tuesday, saying that “all options are on the table.”

“The world has received North Korea’s latest message loud and clear: this regime has signaled its contempt for its neighbors, for all members of the United Nations, and for minimum standards of acceptable international behavior,” President Trump said in a written statement released by the White House. “Threatening and destabilizing actions only increase the North Korean regime’s isolation in the region and among all nations of the world. All options are on the table.”

The South Korean air force put on a show of force after the launch, conducting a live-fire drill involving 8 powerful MK-84 bombs, officials confirmed. Seoul’s presidential spokesman Park Su-hyun said four F-15 fighters dropped the ordinance and accurately hit targets at a military field near South Korea’s eastern coast. Each bomb has an explosive yield of a ton.

Dr. Kelli Ward holds a big 47% to 21% lead over incumbent Sen. Jeff Flake for the U.S. Senate in a new poll of the Republican primary voters in Arizona. Dr. Ward, a conservative and former state senator, supports the agenda of President Donald Trump while the liberal Sen. Flake has opposed him in D.C., and it shows.

The JMC Analytics Poll of 500 registered Republican voters finds only 22% say they want to nominate Sen. Flake, who 66% of Arizona Republicans view unfavorably. Only 22% view him favorably, compared to 43% who hold a favorable view of Dr. Ward. With 23% saying they have no opinion and 11% saying they’ve never heard of the state senator, she has a lot of room to grow if her campaign can seize the narrative.

Establishment Republicans have argued renominating Sen. Flake is the only way to be certain the party will hold the seat in 2018. However, he barely won his first term in 2012 with a 49% to 46% plurality, meaning he ran way behind Mitt Romney and slightly underperformed President Trump in 2016.

Dr. Ward enjoys big leads among nearly all demographic groups, including Asians (+56), blacks (+6), Hispanics (+11) and whites (+27). The latter is going to be the largest voting bloc in the Republican primary in Arizona, which presents an enormous challenge for Sen. Flake, one the PPD Election Projection Model finds he is unlikely to overcome.

His deficit among Hispanics is noteworthy given that he has bought in to the conventional wisdom, which holds a tough-on-immigration stance pushes away Hispanic voters. People’s Pundit Daily (PPD) has thoroughly debunked this theory. There’s also no difference in Sen. Flake’s favorability rating among whites and Hispanics, both at an abysmal 22%.

Conservative talk radio hosts Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham have both endorsed Dr. Ward and President Trump tweeted support for her campaign in mid-August.

“Great to see that Dr. Kelli Ward is running against Jeff Flake, who is WEAK on borders, crime and a non-factor in Senate,” President Trump tweeted. “He’s toxic!”

EXCLUSIVE: Dr. Kelli Ward Talks ObamaCare, Immigration and the Republican Party

The JMC Analytics Poll mirrors another conducted and released by Highground, which is not well-known. It also showed Dr. Ward way ahead of Sen. Flake, 42.5% to 28.2%. In July, a Morning Consult Poll ranking senators by popularity found Arizona Senators John McCain and Flake behind only Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kty., as having the highest disapproval ratings in their state.

The survey was conducted August 26-27. The margin of error, with a 95% confidence interval, was 4.4%. The demographic breakdown of the respondents was 87-5-3% white/Hispanic/black (2% were Asian and 3% were “other”), while the geographic breakdown of the respondents was as follows: 12% from the Phoenix media market outside Maricopa County, 68% from Maricopa County, and 21% from the Tucson media market
