In case you missed Sen. Rand Paul’s response to President Obama’s speech Tuesday night on Syria, here it is for your viewing pleasure. I would bet that Rand Paul has calmed some fears regarding his foreign policy philosophy, as it relates to a potential 2016 presidential bid.
It would appear that the Obama administration’s botched handling of Syria is the straw that broke the camel’s back. After a succession of foreign policy failures after interventions in Egypt and Libya, not to mention the abandoned failures of Iraq and Afghanistan, Syria may be all she wrote for Obama’s credibility as a Commander-and-Chief. The latest average of polls show President Obama’s job approval on foreign policy has cratered to its lowest levels, with 36.5% approving and 53.5% disapproving of President Obama’s handling of foreign policy.
Sen. John McCain R-AZ, President Obama’s best hope for GOP support for a strike in Syria, said Wednesday that he will not support the Senate’s draft resolution authorizing the use of force agreed upon earlier in the morning.
President Obama, while speaking in a joint press conference in Stockholm Sweden, denied that he even set a red line. Refusing to take the full burden the president said, “first of all, I didn’t set a red line, the world did.”
I have no great beef with Peggy Noonan. In fact, I frequently enjoy reading her column in the Wall Street Journal. However, in her latest column titled “How Obama Wooed the Middle Class” she missed the mark big time and, as anyone who has read my election analysis and book knows, I cannot let this go without a response.
Al Gore and his church of global warming have a long way to go before the idea that humans are causing climate change becomes mainstream. Most voters remain at least “somewhat” concerned about global warming, but they still have mixed opinions about what causes it, and most understand that scientists don’t agree on the cause either.
Since the 2012 presidential election, I have heard some seriously outrageous claims about the status of American politics, none of which favorable to the future of the Republican Party.
Sarah Palin appeared on Greta Van Susteren’s show and said, “I was not allowed to talk about these things because the GOP elites who were running John McCain’s campaign said the media would eat us alive.”

The latest Obama speech was more of the same, except for one little nuance. Now, he is still going to lie openly to supporters who could watch Obama murder a child and still think he is the best thing since sliced bread, but he is going to do it for a really long time. That’s called a “cult of personality” and it’s almost as pathetic as it is dangerous.
Obama’s job approval has plummeted to the lowest level – 41% – in two years, according to the latest McClatchy-Marist. The sinking numbers – albeit still higher than those of Congress – appear just after weeks of rising gasoline prices, revelations about domestic spying and turmoil in the Middle East.
