The Senate immigration reform bill may appear to be on the back-burner for now, but when it creeps back up we owe the nation an honest discussion. The concerns surrounding the rule of law and border security are valid, but they are not honest, nor are they central.

The Black Leadership Alliance, with the support of bipartisan activists including the Tea Party, are standing up to the forces of Amnesty.
Well, that didn’t take long. The recent conservative arguments have really been effective to turn the tide in the Senate Gang of Eight immigration reform bill. The CBO projections, which found that illegal immigration will not be addressed, no doubt had given the conservative opposition the ammo that would have an impact on public opinion.
This is the fifth and last article in a series culminating with a plan to build a new and unbeatable conservative Republican Party coalition. Before we get into the nuts and bolts of the plan the GOP must implement, let’s take a second to do a recap.
The Senate, in a 68-32 vote, passes immigration bill that would legalize millions of illegal immigrants while supposedly boosting border security, sending the bill to the House where it faces an uncertain fate.
On June 26, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) addressed fellow conservatives in a Senate floor speech on immigration. In addition, Marco Rubio released an open letter addressing concerns raised by Tea Party activists and leaders in the conservative movement on immigration reform.
Amnesty – sorry, immigration reform – is looking as if it will pass the Senate with upwards of 70 votes, because Mitch McConnell does not have the political guts that Harry Reid has. Have you ever wondered why the GOP always has to cave on allowing or votes, or why conservatives have to get in line with establishment big government progressive Republicans, such as Mitch McConnell?
Democrats are not sincere in their promise to increase border security, because if they do, it will lead to their ultimate demise. I understand that the mainstream media and the GOP’s Washington Beltway pundits are pushing a narrative that is diametrically opposed to my claim, but make no mistake, they are either lying or flat-out too dumb to see the political game that they are playing – and losing.
