The House voted Friday to keep the government open through mid-December but only if Congress strips funding from ObamaCare. The vote was 230 to 189, and largely expected. A test vote on Thursday cleared the measure by 230 – 192, with a few more House members voting “yes” in the real vote.

According to a new poll conducted by Gravis Marketing for Human Events, Speaker of the House John Boehner, isn’t exactly in great shape with Ohio voters, particularly Republicans. Half of the respondents reported they would welcome a challenger to John Boehner in the 2014 congressional race. Respondents were registered Republican voters living in Boehner’s district.
Amnesty – sorry, immigration reform – is looking as if it will pass the Senate with upwards of 70 votes, because Mitch McConnell does not have the political guts that Harry Reid has.
